Hi! I'm Chase, a senior at East Chapel Hill, and the President of Eastbots. I focus on organizing operations and making sure stuff gets done. In my free time, I play guitar in a band, solve Rubik's cubes, and listen to a lot of Dinosaur Jr.
Mary Elisabeth Tracy
Hi! I'm Mary Elisabeth, and I'm Build Captain for the upcoming season. This is my fourth year on the team. Outside of design, I like to think of myself as quite the mech monkey. Whenever I'm not making robots, I love to bike, crochet, and play chess.
Hanxi Luo
Hello! My name is Hanxi and I'll be serving as Outreach Director this year. I love working with kids and providing STEM opportunities within the CHCCS school district and greater Triangle area! I also help out across subteams, including marketing, fundraising, and design. Outside of robotics, I play the oboe, take care of beehives, and watch british comedy.
Isla West
Hi! My name is Isla. I'm a Senior at East and the current Awards Lead for Eastbots. My job is to maintain our brand image, coordinate with technical subteams, and communicate with judges . Outside of robotics, I enjoy volunteering, playing in the orchestra, and biking.
Jon-luke Sadowsky
Hey! My name is Jon-Luke. I’m a senior this year, and I’ve been the Shop Manager for the past three years. This is also my first year as Fundraising Manager. My job involves maintaining our tools and workshop materials, as well as talking to companies and leading the financial side of the team.
Outside of robotics, I’m a photographer, chef, climber, tech enthusiast, and many more. I’ve stepped back from competitive climbing, but I’m still in and out of photography competitions, so I hope to see you around!

Hi! I'm Hillel, and I'm in my senior year. I'm Eastbots' marketing lead, making me responsible for our newsletters, our brand, our merch, and this website! When I'm not building robots, I like to bike, climb, and read fantasy novels.
Nitya Sharma
Hi! I’m a senior, third-year member, and this year’s East Robotics Competition Lead. I create, design, build, and write our mock-FRC competition to train new members in FIRST Robotics STEM skills to build robots they compete with. ERC is a space to experiment, problem-solve, fail, and learn, making STEM accessible for those with limited prior experience. I continue to assist our programming subteam in writing robot code or helping younger members. Outside robotics, I love journaling, sculpting, swimming, and laughing with friends.

Leadership and Officers
Our team is committed to giving every student hands-on opportunities in STEM. To this end, we choose new leaders for all of our subteams every year in the spring. Our leadership crew is composed of fifteen students with a passion to make our team the best it can be. Each student leader is responsible for managing their subteam, delegating tasks to other members, and ensuring that we can build our robot on schedule. Here are the people who run the show!
Whats up! I'm a current junior at East and this is my third year on the team. Being the Design Lead, I am involved in all things relating to computer aided design. Beyond that I also like playing the violin and video games.
Dylan Huang
Hi! I'm Dylan, a junior at East and the Assembly lead this season. This is my third year on the team. As assembly lead, I am in charge of training new mechanical members and managing the assembly of robots. Outside of robotics, I enjoy hanging out with friends, listening to music, and playing tennis!

​Hi! My name is Isaiah and I am the Fabrication Lead this year. This is my third year on the team and I am a junior at east. I lead all things fabrication related, and outside of robotics I love to play ultimate frisbee and go backpacking.
Anisha Sukhlecha
Hi! I’m Anisha, I am in 11th grade and this is my third year on the Eastbots. As Electrical Lead, I work on training new members and wiring electrical components on the robot. Outside of robotics, I like to read and launch rockets.

Hi I'm Cathy, a senior at East. I'm the software lead for the team. I do a lot of robot programming, and I also train new members. In my free time, I like to draw and try out new hobbies.
Cynthia Wan
Hi! My name is Cynthia, and this is my second year on the team, my position being Co-Beastbot Lead. Outside of robotics, I love to read, listen to music, play piano, and watch movies.
Soren Gilkey Johnson
Hello! My name is Soren Gilkey Johnson and I am a junior at East. My role in robotitcs is Co-Beastbot Lead for 4861. I like the color green, running, and biking, but I like engineering the most! I think building robots is a lot of fun!

Hi! I’m Nate, a Junior and East and I’m the scouting lead of the Eastbots. In my free time I like playing board games (the more strategic the better), Reading a book (mystery is my favorite genre), and learning new things!
